On July 2, 2024, our team responded to an urgent case of child abuse in Anguwan Sanda, Yola South LGA, ensuring the safety, care, and rehabilitation of a three-year-old boy named Usman.
A Case That Called for Immediate Action
Usman, a three-year-old boy, was subjected to severe physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his stepmother. The absence of his father during the incident allowed the abuse to continue unchecked until concerned individuals raised the alarm. Upon receiving the report, the Betso Charity Foundation team swiftly mobilized to intervene and provide comprehensive support to the young victim.
BCF’s Multi-Faceted Intervention
Our intervention focused on ensuring Usman’s safety, medical care, psychological recovery, and long-term support. Our approach included:
